The artwork of Atlanta-based Kenson is noteworthy and widely collected. Her paintings continue to change and grow as she continues her experimentation with new subjects and media. Kenson’s inspiration for painting is largely influenced by her recent life experiences, all of which are revealed on her emotive canvases.

Working mostly in mixed media, Kenson marks deliberately yet spontaneously on her canvas and/or surface. She puts her entire body and soul into each piece, evidenced through the care taken to perfect each painting by marking out what she does not wish to appear and highlighting that which she does. Words, symbols, shapes and lines converge in each of her paintings, creating those that are alive with vivid color and evocative emotion. The obvious feminine motifs in Kenson’s work often reference maternal emotions or the melancholy side of love and life.
